Hospice Care

We offer a variety of care levels based on your specific needs

Hospice Care

Most terminally ill people say they wish to receive end-of-life care in the place they call home. For some that may mean their house, for others that may mean an assisted living facility or a nursing home. They simply want to complete their life journey in the most comfortable and familiar place surrounded by people and things most important to them. Rainbow Hospice Care has been providing in-home care to patients and families ever since it began operations in 1990, and it is the type of care most widely used by our patients and their families.

Although most hospice services are provided in patients’ homes, there are times when home care just isn’t enough. When pain or other acute symptoms demand a higher level of medical and nursing attention, short-term inpatient care at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center may be an option.

Levels of Care

Routine Care

Routine home care is for patients whose symptoms are well managed. This level of care is provided in a patient’s home which can be a private residence, apartment, assisted living facility, or nursing home.

General Inpatient Care

General Inpatient Care is appropriate for patients experiencing an acute medical crisis that requires intensive nursing management.  This level of care is provided at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.

Continuous Care

Continuous care, also known as crisis care, is for patients experiencing a serious symptomatic crisis. This level of care can be provided in the patient’s private residence, assisted living facility, or nursing home.

Respite Care

Respite Care is available to hospice patients whose families need a break from the rigors of caregiving at home. This level of care is provided at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
