Monthly Caregiver Support Group

Are you currently caring for an elderly spouse or parent? Are you stressed and don't know where to turn for support? Are you exhausted? Let us help you through this difficult time. A social worker who is skilled at dealing with the challenges caregivers face facilitates this group.

Attendees will learn such things as:

• Avoiding stress and burnout,
• How to talk to your physician about what is happening,
• How to deal with difficult behaviors, and
• how to ask for help when it is needed.

More importantly, participants have an opportunity to learn from other caregivers who are experiencing many of the same difficulties. This support group is brought to you by the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Jefferson County and Rainbow Hospice Care.

Monthly Grief Support Groups

Rainbow Hospice facilitates grief support groups that meet monthly and are open to the public. Attendees can expect to:

1. learn more about grief,
2. listen as others tell stories about their difficulties and successes
3. share their story to the extent they're comfortable, and
4. utilize professionally trained support leaders to assist them in their grief journey.

Monday Morning Joe: monthly breakfast meeting

Bereaved individuals are invited to get together the beautiful new dining room at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center from 8:30 a.m. -- 10:30 a.m. on the first Monday of each month*. These casual gatherings provide participants with an opportunity to meet and talk with others who are experienceing similar circumstances in supportive environment, offering a chance to socialize, share stories, and learn more about what to expect during the grieving process. In addition to commaradarie and conversation, participants will enjoy coffee, tea, fresh fruit and assorted baked goods. There is no cost to attend.
